Covid-19

Measures we are taking to keep our visitors and staff safe

Titchy Town

Titchy Town has undertaken a detailed assessment of the COVID-19 infection risk to guests, members and staff. As a result, we have made important changes to our working practices to reduce the risk as far as possible to be able to deliver the best service possible.

Entry to Titchy Town

All play and stay sessions to be pre-booked online in advance. Pre-booked party slots will be booked out by the centre for you.

Due to Covid-19, we are restricting numbers in the play centre. We will be allowing 30 people (including children) per session. Please pre-book all sessions online in advance. (The number of people in a session will be reviewed in line with government guidance on Covid-19).

Groups (max 6 people per group including children) are asked to ensure they socially distance when queuing to enter and exit Titchy Town and all times in the role play centre. People coming up the ramp into the centre to give way and wait at the bottom of the ramp to people leaving the centre. Please follow signage.

Once in the centre, customers should remain with their group and maintain appropriate social distance.

Any child must always be accompanied by an adult. Even though your child may be able to play independently, you should stay nearby to ensure that resources and other visitors are treated with respect.

Due to Covid-19 and social distancing guidelines, we are asking that there are no more than 1 adult in the individual play houses at any one time to allow for social distancing.

Parents are asked to arrive on time for each session to help with queue management and socially distance 2 metres apart

All parents are asked to take part in test and trace and to sign in when arriving at Titchy Town.

All visitors are encouraged to arrive at the start of the play session to prevent lots of coming and goings at entrance and exit points.

Temperature checks

At Titchy Town reception, a member of staff will check all visitors body temperature to ensure that it is not too high – exceeding 37.8C. If the temperate exceeds 37.8C you will be asked to wait for 5 minutes and then be tested a second time. You will be denied entry if your temperature reading exceeds the upper limit for a second time. Please respect our team if they ask you to refrain from entering Titchy Town and support us in keeping safe and being compliant with new guidelines.

Masks & Hand Sanitising

In line with government guidance, there is no legal requirement to wear face coverings in indoor setting. However, to ensure the safety of all our visitors we recommend all adults and young people (over the age of 11 years) to wear a face mask when in the centre unless they are exempt. We recommend these to be worn at all times, unless you are eating and drinking. Masks can be brought from the centre from £0.50p if you forget to bring your own.

On arrival at Titchy Town, we ask that all guests sanitise their hands using the sanitising stations.

We advise masks to be worn at all times unless eating or drinking in the café area.

All parents and children to sanitise hands when exiting the site.

Hand sanitiser to be used every time you and your child enter and exit the role play house area – mandatory.

Self-hygiene

Hands must always be washed / sanitised when arriving at site, after sneezing, coughing, before and after meals, after handing equipment as well as in between- follow handwashing chart displayed

Children and adults are encouraged to use a tissue (tissue dispensers provided) or elbow to sneeze or cough into and use bins for tissue waste – catch it, bin it, kill it.

Cleaning, Disinfecting and Sanitisation

We have increased our already exemplary cleaning and disinfecting regimes. We’ve introduced deep-cleaning after every session with a fogging disinfectant and steam clean which are both proven to kill 99.9% of bacteria and viruses.

Café

The café will open 10 minutes after opening time to prevent a bottle neck forming by the entrance door. Customers will be called up in table order to order, pay and wait for refreshments behind the line
